Vintage 1940's Urie Mandle Murray Slater "as is" rhinestone sword with sheath chatelaine pin. These pieces were made by the Goldseal Mfg. Co and were distributed by Urie F Mandle Co. and designed by Murray Slater. This pin originally had an attached loop on the side of the sword with two chains attached to the sheath.

The sheath half still has the loop and one ring, but the sword no longer has the loop on the side. Perhaps a jeweler can add a loop so you can add two chains and make it back into a chatelaine.

One of the prongs on the side of the garnet colored large rhinestone has a scrape. And the paint has some inconsistencies, but nothing bothersome. I pointed this out in the phots as well as everything else. Please view all photos. Let us know if you need more photos and we will gladly send them to you.

It is a very large pin. It measures 4" long. These pieces were made in a variety of different colored rhinestones and colors. Some of these pins were marked sterling and they had a gold or vermeil wash. I could not find a pat. pend. number or sterling mark on either of the pieces. Unless I missed it. I looked it over several times with a jeweler's loupe.

The last photo shows the original Murray Slater design of this piece filed on 1946 and printed in 1947. This piece also appeared in the Woman's Day Magazine.

This piece has all the original stones. It is being sold as is due to the missing loop and chains and it is priced accordingly. Please ask any questions before purchasing. All sales are final.
