Very pretty antique 10k gold stick pin. It tested positive (acid tested) as 10k gold on the pin shift, as well as the top portion. The back of the pin is hallmarked, but it is very difficult to make out the symbol, nor can I find it anywhere on the net. I tried to show a close up photo of the hallmark. There are no other marks. If you are familiar with this hallmark, please be a dear and let me know?
I was told that the stone is a genuine citrine. It has an orange hue. I am not a gemstone expert, so I can not claim it is a genuine citrine. The stone has a smooth front and faceted back. The top of the point on the back has a very TINY nip at the end. I noticed it with my jewelers loupe. Not worth mentioning, but I tell it like it is.
The bezel around the stone has a little minor damage on the left side. Please view last photo. The pin measures 2 1/2" long and weighs 2.6 grams.
The top measures a little over 1/4" across. Pictures do not due it justice. I just could not capture the brilliance of the stone.
There is normal vintage wear on the pin shaft. A very pretty piece. Wish I can tell you more about it. Sold all sales final.
