From my personal collection.
"A Fortune in Frogs" rare promotional early "get-rich-quick scheme" large soft booklet from the American Frog Canning Company that was in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dated 1935. The founder was Broel.
I can not find this book for sale anywhere on the net. There was one on Worthpoint, but that was it.
I found an article on this book which is SO worth the read. One excerpt:
"Broel was on the leading edge of what The New Yorker once called “the frog-farm craze of the thirties.”
The story is SO insane. He ended up being indicted for mail fraud.

This book is pretty trashed condition wise, but has many amusing photos the frog canning factory in Louisiana, testimonial page, frog photos, the Broel (the founder) System of Frog Raising, pictures of cans of "Frog A La Queen" canned frogged legs and more. The frog meat was mixed with herbs and mushrooms. I think I read that you can buy two cans of Frog A la Queen for .50 cents back in the day!
There are lots of photos, so please be sure to view them all before you purchase. It measures 8 1/2" x 11". It will be packed with TLC for safe arrival.
Again, this book is in poor shape with stains and wear, but is a wonderful piece of entrepreneurial history.
Strictly sold "as is" and all sales are final.
